An elegant 19th Century French Transitional style ormolu-mounted sans-traverse veneer inlaid Cabinet,

The fine piece is raised on six cabriole legs ornamented with finely chiseled laurel garland ormolu chutes and terminated with leafy ormolu sabots, under a scalloped shape frieze centered with a scrolling acanthus ormolu mount,

At the center are two drawers with laurel circular ormolu handles flanked by two doors with four ormolu rosettes and keyhole escutcheons each; all are double quarter veneer inlaid in sans-traverse style and ormolu border,

Surmounted by three drawers with ormolu pulls and impressive foliate chain bands with rosettes and entrelacs et les rosaces design within a very delicate ormolu encadrement, the same design is repeated on the sides, at each corner and far back corner are skillfully chiseled ormolu chutes of scrolled acanthus and oak-leaf clasped volutes, surmounted by a single guilloche volute ormolu trim; Above the is the thick moulded arbalest shape marble top.
