A fine Transitional style gilt-ormolu-mounted veneer-Inlaid Cartonnier with beveled breakfront marble top above a concave frieze and gilt-ormolu trim, the cabinet is centered by a protruding breakfront cupboard glass door with a glass shelf framed by a gilt-ormolu encadrement with a fine cast gilt-ormolu foliage ornamentation flanked by eight drawers, four drawers to each side surrounded with rich ormolu encadrement, the body is cornered by fine chiseled large gilt ormolu foliate chutes, raised on a shaped plinth headed with an ormolu trim, the breakfront apron centered by a scroll shell, on shaped feet ornamented with ormolu foliate cartouche clasps.
