French 18th century Louis XV period ormolu-mounted Bombé shaped Commode Bordelaise,

The fine arbalest shaped commode is raised on cabriole legs under scalloped frieze ornamented with large ormolu mount of vegetating laurel garlands and decorated with hammered ormolu border along the contour, the legs are adorned with fine pierced foliate ormolu turned sabots and exquisite finely chiseled large acanthus C shaped ormolu mounts on each top corner in satin and burnished finish,

The entire commode is skillfully sans-traverse quarter veneer inlaid in geometrical patterns, the arbalest shaped front embellished with repeated foliate Cabochons flanked by two doors and two drawers to the top frieze, the doors are bordered with ormolu trim with ormolu scrolling anthemion corners and ormolu keyhole escutcheons, the ormolu bordered drawers has fine ormolu foliate C shaped handles, the same works of veneering and ormolu is repeated on the sides, with a fine serpentine arbalest shaped beveled marble on the top.
