A delicate French Louis XV style ormolu-mounted diamond parquetry and veneer inlaid Curved Commode,
Raised by slender splayed cabriole legs inlaid with sans-traverse quarter palisander veneer and ornamented with richly chased C shaped pierced blossoming foliate ormolu turned sabots leading up on each leg to plentiful and skillfully accomplished large corner patinated ormolu mounts of rockwork, acanthus and blossoming foliate motifs,
To the center is a large arbalest shaped frieze drawer palisander veneered and diamond parquetry inlaid bordered with delicate ormolu filet, the same technique is repeated on the sides. The drawer is accented with large C scroll Rocaille foliate pierced handles and centered with a sensational detailed large pierced foliate Cabuchon patinated ormolu mount , above is the eared serpentine shaped moulded veined marble top.
