A splendid and most decorative French Louis XVI style exuberantly hand carved, greenish-grey painted and parcel giltwood Console and Mirror,

The console is raised by circular tapered fluted legs with acanthus leaves sabots with foliate engraved blocks above and joined by a double rounded geometric shaped stretcher centered with a remarkable blossoming urn of prosperity resting on a large block, each leg is adorned with carved chandelles and topped with guilloche design circular blocks and circular floral carvings,

A striking frieze rests on the legs with Leaf-and-Dart mottled and beaded borders, central blossoming urns issuing Rinceau design foliate C scrolls and Tendrils with a royal crest on central reserve and rosettes on carved beaded blocks on each corner and a fine shaped marble top above; below the frieze are intricate beautiful painted and parcel-gilt blossoming ribboned swaging Bayleaf floral garlands;

The impressive vertical rectangular mottled mirror frame above is resting on a flanking scrolling, blossoming S shaped supports with seashells and florets, surmounted by a blossoming Urn of prosperity issuing floral scrollwork elongated to the sides and a draping blossoming swaging garlands below.
