The striking exaggerated commode is raised by cabriole legs centering an arbalest shaped large drawer, the robust curved legs are adorned with finely chiseled pierced C scrolling foliate sabots and with exquisite detailed richly chased large pierced scrolled acanthus corner mounts at the top,
The entire piece is masterfully inlaid with sans-traverse quarter veneer and marquetry works of scrolling foliage, urns, branches, vases and flower bouquets on drawers and the serpentine shaped moulded surface and fine cast foliate handles.
